WORLD ORGAN DAY 2 - March 21, 2012

MESSAGE TO THE ORGANISTS

The economic and moral crisis is dangerously projecting for the future of music and, consequently, it is making a reduction or even a collapse of the organ activity.

This is, in my opinion, the time to unite with greater solidarity in the 2nd WORLD ORGAN DAY March 21, 2012, of which I am tenacious promoter, to give courage and hope to us players in this art.

Above all, we should transmit, and passionately without fail, the voice of the organ to the public, who, "dreaming" with it, will not be disappointed.

Our celebration of Johann Sebastian Bach on 21 March 2012, around the world, will return full satisfaction and prestige to the slow and inexorable "flowering" in the history of the organs.

From small churches to the largest cathedrals and shrines scattered all over the Earth, the World Organ Day will be a symbol of great testimony to the spiritual and cultural value of Creative Man.

While a part of the world is enriched with the materialistic speculation, we could help preserve and give support to the wealth of music that excites the human soul and that gives comfort, with the World Organ Day.

We participate in March 21, 2012, before or after that date, from the place where we hold the church organists and music institute, with an organ voluntary expression of free choice: a concert or a solemn liturgy, a Masterclass, a guided tour, a conference-concert, even a group lesson with students.

Take part of this great event on March 21, 2012, before or after that date, from the place where you are church organist or from a music institute, with an voluntary expression of free choice: a concert or a solemn liturgy, a Masterclass, a guided tour, a conference-concert, even a group lesson with students.

Then fill out the attached form with your details and send it as soon as you can, to my e-mail address: mauropappagallo at gmail.com  or you can fill out the card directly on the site www.confederazioneorganisticaitaliana.it.
Your information will be posted on the calendar of events and you can consult them directly when you want.

The objective is to reach human immortality—that is, to create things which are necessary to mankind, necessary to the purpose of the existence of mankind, and which have become the fruit that drives the creation of a higher state of mankind than ever existed before."
