Hauptwerk set up for sale
« on: September 19, 2012, 10:43:12 AM »
Due to a change in circumstances, I am thinking of selling my Hauptwerk set up which I only bought a few months ago.

The computer, Keyboard stack and pedalboard have hardly been used, and it comes with the Advanced edition of Hauptwerk 4

Computer type: 'Elite Performance 64bit' by www.millennium-music.co.uk

    Board and Processor :-
    (a) 'ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo' and 'Quad Core Q9650 3.0ghz 12mb'.
    (b) Cooling Block = 'Noctua NH-12 Pro 12cm (cube) heatpipe Cooler'
    (c) 2 separate boards of '4GB ddr2 1066' boards are fitted (8 GB of memory).

3 Hard drives are fitted :-
    (a) Two identical 500GB Serial ATA 7200rpm 16mb cache
    (b) A 300GB Velociraptor SATA 10,000 rpm 16mb cache

DVD-RW Dual layer DVD+R 18times enables you to put your recordings on CD.

    Soundcard :-

M-Audio 1010 LT which runs fine on 64bit. The card comes complete with 2 seperate cable bundles of very high quality, one Audio and one, MIDI related.

Windows Version = Windows VISTA ULTIMATE 64bit

Console: 3 Manual stack by www.Johnsorganworks.co.uk

MIDI Sequencer: built in the pc

Classic Organ Works 32 note midi pedalboard

We used it for our summer conference ( www.summerconference.org ) and I was frankly amazed at the way it supported a large congregation singing in full voice, even with a very amateur speaker arrangement.

I bought the keyboard stack new a few months back for over 600, while the pc and pedalboard were secondhand, neither had ever been used. The pc was 1750 and the pedalboard around 1,000.

I'm not sure what the arrangement is for passing on the Hauptwerk programme, but that costs about 350.

That's almost 4,000 worth, so I would hope to get 2,000 for it.

Any suggestions?

Seems a good deal for the asking price (the PC is no longer state of the art though and would need to be upgraded to be used with the latest HW sample sets).  My suggestion (beyond keeping it!) would be to place it for sale on the HW forum since that will get you the best prospects.  Note that there are some restrictions with transferring the software licences, so you may need to speak to Brett Milan about this.

Hope that helps,

James

I'm in Cardiff.

Have to admit I am only using the standard St Anne's Moseley sample set, but it plays like a dream.

No idea about computers at all, but it was built specifically to run Hauptwerk, and I'm sure Millenium Music would be able to quote for any upgrades that might be necessary.

I still have everything connected up in our church building ( www.tabernaclecardiff.org ) only that I would need to plug the church amp and speakers back in for anyone to try it out.

I've put a post on the Hauptwerk forum, and I think its ok if I'm not advertising the Hauptwerk 4 Advanced as for sale. Obviously at 350 value, hopefully it will make the rest of the kit attractive to a potential enthusiast.

Forgot to mention that I travel all over the place from time to time, so I'm sure we could arrange something with someone anywhere in the country.
