Hi

To anyone who plays an Ahlborn-Galanti either at Church or at home, please search for the owners group on facebook - we are a group of owners/players who share a passion and appreciation for these excellent organs and their fantastic sounds.

Looking forward to hearing from you!!

I'm not greatly active on facebook. Perhaps you might encourage some of them to post here? Facebook isn't searchable so it's not really helpful in terms of helping people solve any problems.

I have a number of their extension units which are truly excellent and inspiring in sound. But a few have been damaged by battery chemical attack on the board. Are these boards at all repairable if this has happened?

Best wishes

Facebook is indeed searchable.  There is a search bar on the site.  We made around 10-15 members in about one/two days.

Regarding battery leakage, this is something which you can try to repair by replacing the battery, cleaning up any acid leakage from the board and then perhaps soldering wires onto the board where the old battery used to be so that the new battery can sit somewhere off the board.  Either that or encapsulate the battery in some sort of casing!

Cheers for now
