Now Europe has a floorpounder!

Well, almost... Turns out from reading the general discussion section of the Hauptwerk forum the organ's  Infrabass 64' is actually a resultant ??? :o >:(

I dont have Erics enthusiasm for a 64ft stop and cannot really see any musical usage where it could be justified. When the old Worcester Cathedral organ had one it was never used, the 64 reed at Sydney does cause a rumble but is it musical?

http://acusticumorgan.com/specification  And  have a look at the rest of the pages one can link to from there.  This instrument will be  so much more than another  64 foot (resultant)  stop...  I have retitled the post "Organ of the Future?"

As far as the usefulness of subsonic pipework one may need to take a trip to Hammerwood Park...
David's electronic concert instrument is not only capable of 64' pitch but also 128' as well.

As I am not "made of money"  I decided instead  to listen to the selections posted on Youtube...
and took some measurements with what rudimentary audio frequency measurement equipment I had available to me,  and determined the reproduction equipment I had available here should be up to the task but wasn't... so I converted a bedroom into a speaker enclosure by mounting four 12" subwoofers  into the door :o  and then had to reinforce the structure of the house in places to help deal with the result...  But what fun!  I finally have the ability to really hear what goes on "down there" and the King of Instruments really comes alive in the living room now!  Moreover anything else I listen to sounds better... unless there's a ton of subsonic background noise in the recording :(

Having a problem here.
I clicked on the website above and the only stoplist I found was a list of medical conditions.
Have some help here?

I may have to investigate this further but it looks like the domain was abandoned around 5 months ago.
It could be a "facebook thing" but the "Fanclub of the Studio Acusticum Organ Project" page hasn't fed me any news since the instrument's inauguration either...
