Hi,
the first three clips are most impressive, Nice to hear a Newly Built Pipe organ.
the Electronic Content Organ is nice in a different way ! the Electronic Sound seems to be much closer ( as in distance )  than the Pipe organ recording.

Organ registration / Re: Vox Humanas are horrible

HI,
I can only assume that People's taste may have changed over the years ? But it is a good question as to whether the " Authentic" registration should always be used ?
I don't know !

Hi,
I haven't worked on an Eminent pedalboard unfortunately.
the reed switches can be fragile, and can sometimes go intermittent.

Hi,
I happened to see this on TV, and just wondered if the Organ used to accompany the Choristers was Electronic or Pipe ? the console seems to be a modern design with stops above the keyboards as well as to either side.
( yes I know I should be able to tell if it is Pipe Or Electronic, but my ears are out of practice ! )

Hi,
I am probably doing something wrong but couldn't get the above link to work.....

Hi, there are many things to worry about nowadays,
but this should certainly I think be one of them !
I guess the phrase " don't take anything for granted would apply "
on the Oragn related front, I still haven't got a basic practice Organ working.

Hi,
well JOrgan uses java, and Grand Orgue can work with LInux, Windows or OSX. Grand Orgue is about a 600mb download. I think JOrgan is smaller.
some combinations of programs and computers work well, others don't. So unfortunately there is a learning curve involved with any new software.
I think Grand Orgue may be able to use Hauptw*rk Sample sets, Jorgan uses I think sound fonts.
AS it is that time of Year. Good wishes to everyone for the New Year !

Hi,
you ask a good question or two ! In general you may not be able to just copy the files over from the old hard disk to the new hard disk. ( if you are talking about the operating system files and main program files ). You might be able to do this with something such as Norton Ghost.
I don't know if you can just copy the sample sets from one hard disk to another ? Or if they have to be installed again ?

Electronic Organs / Re: Viscount CM100

Hi,
having heard one of these expanders in person,at one of the Eocs meetings, they seem a very useful unit.
For anyone wanting to know more about their possibilities the user manual, other guides (and software) can be downloaded from
http://www.organworks.com/index.php/products/sound-generation-systems?set_article=viscount-cm-100

note I have no connection with the above company.

Hi,
that is most impressive ! There can't be may ways to know what was being played in the 18th Century, but this seems to be one of them !

Hi,
when it is not such a busy time of year might you be able to post a couple of short you tube clips to give everyone an idea of the different stops ?

HI,
a longer term solution might be to try to fit magnets and reed switches to the existing pedalboard.
certainly I would hope these would last longer than some mechanical switches.
