Title: Organ in North Staffordshire
Post by: Peter Jones on October 01, 2012, 10:49:13 PM
Organ in an RC church in North Staffordshire available. Church now closed for worship.

Two manuals (61 note) and pedals (30 note). Organ installed and rebuilt/remodelled (from a Methodist church) in the late 1960s/early 1970s by Oakes. Swell - mechanical action. Great - pneumatic. Pedals - electric. Organ is not listed on NPOR.

Great - 888844 2 2/3 2 1 3/5 1 1/3  Swell 88884288 8ve coupler  Pedal 16(metal) 16 10 2/3 8 4  usual couplers

Swell mechanical action needs a lot of attention.

Church is secure but open to the elements to cure rot in the roof. Rot, as far as I can see, has not affected the organ.
Instrument free to a good home. Any interest and I can probably arrange for a faculty to be granted for removal quite quickly.
