Posting contributions from the Blackberry network

Forum moderators and admin have decided to prevent viewers using the Blackberry mobile network from contributing to the forum.

This is on account of our belief, which may be unfounded, that users of mobile devices on the move may not be applying their full intellect to postings and consideration of posts may be hurried by issues irrelevant to the subject of which they are writing.

Having also experience of people who suffer an internet addiction in preference to paying attention to real life, particularly Facebook, access to which can be deleterously intrusive in the real world with the immediate access provided by mobile phones, we are aware that internet forums can contribute equally negatively.

We do hope that anyone being unable to post to this forum from a mobile device will be able to make a valid contribution when they return home to access the site from a static network from their home computer.

Of course we cannot be responsible for, nor guarantee, protecting people from themselves, but whilst the internet can be so very helpful especially in the promotion of causes, such as here the Organ, it can also be an addiction which can be as equally destructive to people's lives as any. We trust that our efforts and understanding in this matter will be appreciated.
