Hi!

Local organsists' associations can be very helpful, particularly in introducing one to other instruments and sometimes putting on evenings of great interest.

Surrey is http://www.surreyorganistsassociation.org/ - mainly based in West Surrey and www.east-surreyorganists.org for East Surrey.

Crawley and Horsham http://www.iao.org.uk/crawley/ serves for north Sussex

Perhaps members might add features of their local social landscape on this thread . . . ?

Best wishes

Here is an example of a "broader" "organ-organization" being formed...

http://www.meetup.com/The-Ohio-Valley-Pipe-Organs-Meetup-Group/

QuoteA group for those of us in the Greater Louisville and surrounding areas who are interested in learning about, hearing and promoting interest in the King of Instruments. We welcome all current and aspiring organists as well as enthusiasts and those who appreciate organ music.

It looks like they are planning their first event...

Too bad I live nearly 3000 miles away... Looks like fun!
