Thomas Trotter is one of Britain's most widely admired musicians, and has wowed audiences around the world as "one of the foremost exponents of the organist's art." We present this thrilling inaugural solo concert on the newly restored historic organ at St John's Church in a programme that will include Bach, Elgar, and Messiaen. The evening will open with the launch of the new permanent exhibition about the history of the organ and its links to William Wilberforce, the history of St John's, and the history of Notting Hill. This will be followed by a short talk entitled 'The Curious History of the St John's Organ' by organ specialist John Norman, who will explain the historical provenance of the organ at St John's Church. Join us for an historic evening of musical performance and culture, with complementary drinks reception.
