Title: Dual ? manual Harpsichord on ebay
Post by: dragonser on January 08, 2011, 03:52:06 AM
Hi,
just saw that there is a Double manual pedal Harpsichord on ebay.
item number 300511290130

I'm not sure from the photos whether the instrument does have a pedal board or just some pedals ? at 9ft long is it large for a Harpsichord ? it is a hsmae that they didn't tkae a photo of the keyboards.

regards Peter B

Hi!

I enquired about it and it does have a pedalboard. The pedals attach to the manuals via a roolerboard and at 9ft long, the instrument should have a serious 16ft capability. Certainly a useful instrument but quite a project to finish. Worth doing though . . .

Hi

Yes - very interesting.  Pity I've no space, time nor money for it!  I've got an LP record on my shelves of Bach played on a pedal harpsichord - an interesting sound.

Every Blessing
