ESCONDIDO ---- Fifteen-year-old Thomas Mellan, a Dehesa Charter School student, will perform on the pipe organ at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 23 at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral at 2728 Sixth Ave., San Diego and at 2 p.m. Nov. 28 at Spreckles Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park, 1549 El Prado No. 10, San Diego. The program on Nov. 23 will consist of selections from the works of Bach, Bonnet and Guillou. A free-will offering will be accepted. The program on Nov. 28 will present organist Carol Williams, young organist Suzy Webster and Thomas. Donations accepted. Thomas was the first place winner of the 2010 San Diego AGO scholarship auditions.

Dehesa Charter School, a K-12 public school, accommodates the schedules of students in the performing arts and other pursuits and has locations in San Diego, Orange and Riverside Counties. Call 619-279-3159

Dear Eric

Perhaps your news here explains why I like and respect the work of Carol Williams in promoting the organ and young musicians at Spreckels more than that of people who go out of their way simply to be showmen. She's a good lady.

Wish I could get to the concert!

However, for anyone in England, there's a brilliant young organist playing in Sussex on 18th at 4pm
