Title: Two large and rare harmoniums on Ebay at present
Post by: Contrabombarde on July 03, 2013, 08:41:02 PM
First off, a three manual and pedal Crane:

And then a self-playing Aeolian:

No connection with either seller other than curiousity!

Wow! Both very interesting.  I would love to have the three-manual and pedal 'University' organ.  It's just as well that it's in Grantown-on-Spey and I'm in Newfoundland.  I shall be passing within a few miles of it before the end of the month, but I can't see how I could smuggle it onto an Airbus to get it across the Atlantic....

Hi!

It's good to see that there has been a healthy demand. The Orchestrelle with over 350 rolls went for nearly double the opening price and, with the cost involved of restoring pneumatics, represents one the one hand a bargain and on the other something for which considerable dedication will be required.

Thanks for drawing them to attention on this forum! I was almost tempted myself!

Best wishes
